Slam issue 172 – October 2010

This is patriotic State rivalry at its finest. Even though it’s skateboarding, there’s rules: selective teams from New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland are pitched against each other over four days of competitive skateboarding in Brisbane where three designated spots must be hit. But rules are meant to be broken and this is where the order stops and the mayhem begins.

As well as guest appearances and special mascots, each State had a filmer and a photographer on board to document the best of their tricks and the worst of their behavior. The following videos showcase the insanity, while in Slam issue #166 you can see the photos and read the stories behind each team's journey.

Which origin of our great land do you think is the best? Which team showed their true State colours? Who threw down, who threw up and who should get thrown out? Who do you think is the ultimate winner in this clash of the titans? It’s time to do battle, fly your flag, push the limits and seriously sabotage your opponents.

Let the games begin…
